Lapis Lazuli - the Blue of Heaven
Lapis Lazuli is a bright blue natural stone with golden inclusion resembling a starry night which is in the variety of lazurite and is used for inlaid in jewelry. Also, it is used for decorating in many sacred places and palaces.
In the ancient times, Lapis was used by healers, priests and royal families as ornament stones and also it was used by many famous artists in the Renaissance and Baroque period to depict their paintings. Technically, Lapis was ground into powder and made into Ultramarine, the finest and most expensive of all blue pigments.
In some mythologies, Lapis Lazuli was even used to give an honor to some Greek Goddesses like Athena, Hera and Aphrodite.
